Lesson Policies
At Maxfield Music, our goal is to help every student make consistent, meaningful progress. These policies help us protect each student’s lesson time, keep schedules running smoothly, and provide the best possible instruction.
Weekly Lesson Package Policy
Lesson packages are designed to be used weekly and completed within the timeframe of the purchased package.
4-lesson packages expire 4 weeks from the purchase date.
12-lesson packages expire 12 weeks from the purchase date.
Lessons are reserved specifically for each student and are not extended unless an emergency exception is approved by the studio. See Emergency Exceptions below for more details.
Ongoing Weekly Lesson Policy
Students enrolled in ongoing weekly lessons have a reserved lesson time each week. This time is held specifically for the student and is not offered to others.
To support steady progress, students are expected to attend lessons consistently. Missed lessons are not automatically credited, refunded, or carried over.
If a student needs to pause or stop ongoing lessons, please notify the studio in advance so the schedule can be adjusted.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice if a lesson needs to be rescheduled.
When proper notice is given, we will do our best to find another available time. Rescheduling is based on studio availability and is not guaranteed.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will result in the loss of that lesson.
Missed Lessons & Same-Day Cancellations
Same-day cancellations and missed lessons are non-refundable.
This includes lessons missed due to schedule conflicts, forgotten appointments, or last-minute changes.
Emergency Exceptions
We understand that true emergencies happen. In those cases, please contact the studio as soon as possible. Exceptions may be approved at the studio’s discretion.
Thank you for understanding and honoring our studio policies. These guidelines help us provide consistent, high-quality instruction and create the best experience for every student.
